i make artwork with a focus on nature with analogue mediums and occasionally digital

I am currently studying for my BA in illustration and am in my final year. I have been drawing and making art for a long time, and have wanted to be a professional artist since my GCSEs (19 years ago). As it does, life has happened since then, and between struggles with my mental health, children and a divorce, it hasn't really happened in the way that I imagined. So now there is no likelihood of more children, and life has started to quieten somewhat. I want to have another go at it. Although this time I'm not really interested in failure. :determined:

I mostly enjoy illustrating nature, animals, portraiture, and especially a mix of all. I also enjoy character creation and would like to do some children's book illustration one day.

Personally, I enjoy reading (when I have time), playing games, and well, drawing to be fair. At the moment, I'm reading 'Sweetpea' by C.J.Skuse, which, as a bit of a true crime buff, I'm really enjoying. As far as playing games goes, I switch between Planet Zoo, The Witcher 3 (again) and other cosy games. For me to really get stuck into a game, it needs to have high customisability or an amazing story or both and a rich world to explore
i also absolutely love animals and visit my local research and conservation zoo regularly. my favourite animals include tigers, lions, highland cows and barn owls.
