Original Abstract painting, and Printmaking.

I am inspired by strong colours, mostly in the landscape, and drawn to the contrast between lights and darks. Sunny winter days are a great inspiration with all the long shadows. I am drawn to the shapes created by the landscape and bare trees. I strive to represent an emotional expression of my experiences in life. Therefore my work evolves in an abstract way. I love the tactile nature of paint. I often produce texture in my paintings through various mark making methods, although the surface of my paintings tend to be smooth in nature. I like experimenting with printmaking and elements of this medium find their way into my painting in various ways.
