Jewellery and curio inspired by the past

I have always wanted to run away to the circus but unfortunately I am no trapeze artist, too scared to tame lions and useless at juggling. So instead I day dream about journeying back in time to a travelling circus and all the wonders and magic it entails. Boutique De Peculiar has grown from this daydream. By day I am a trained textiles and surface pattern designer, which always entails lots of research and collation of images for inspiration, so I can always indulge my daydreaming! This collection of pendants is a showcase for some of the wonderful images I have found in old books, vintage circus posters, Victorian anatomical and nature illustrations alongside some of my own drawings inspired by them as well.
