If you require a faster delivery, you can purchase the Special Delivery upgrade alongside your order. Where possible I will use a letterbox size parcel for your convenience.

Contemporary Sterling Silver Jewellery Inspired by Nature

Hi, I’m Johanna, a Jewellery Designer/ Maker based in the heart of England in the Black Country, with over 20 years experience working in the jewellery trade.

After graduating with a 3D Design BA (Hons) Degree, specialising in Metal Smithing in 2004 I set up my jewellery design business trading as Johanna Wren. I had the amazing opportunity of being a resident jeweller at Bilston Art Gallery for my first year, before setting up my own workshop in Birmingham’s famous Jewellery Quarter, where I began to develop a larger collection of work, learn new skills and display at exhibitions and craft fairs throughout the country.

When my family began to grow I took some time away, but still continued to work with both designers and manufacturers in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, where my knowledge and experience has developed over the years.

My family have been a huge inspiration in encouraging me to get back to my work bench and to continue my own love for designing and making jewellery. We decided together on Black Country Wren as my new business name.

My jewellery designs are inspired by nature, focusing on wildlife, organic forms and textures found in our beautiful natural world, often reflecting the changing seasons, they are handmade using traditional silversmithing tools and techniques.
