Took up painting a few years back as a way to help lessen anxiety.
I loved it.
Threw myself into the paint and brushes and the canvas and everything to do with getting an image from the brain to the canvas.
I love the challenge, the research, the 'hmmm..' moments, the sudden appearance of the image you've been searching for with the palette & brush.
I love painting and everything about the process.
It's been life changing for me.
Of late I've been mostly upcycling unloved paintings that I've picked up in charity shops. Sometimes the original picture will give me an idea but generally the frame predicts the painting.
