I learned to machine sew online during lockdown and soon discovered that bags are my thing! I love art and design and so really enjoy putting bold colours and designs together. Most importantly, because of using remnants, every bag I make is totally unique. I prefer natural, environmentally conscious materials wherever possible alongside quality pleather and cotton-backed oilcloth and use woven or foam interfacings to give the bag structure. My quality metal fittings and zips are all from known manufacturers and I’m obsessed with adding pockets - you can't have too many pockets!
This all adds up and so I price my bags to cover / contribute to the cost of materials – I just want to keep learning and continue to sew more bags! I'm based at home in the Cotswolds and am supervised by my two miniature schnauzers, Hugo & Hector.
