Postal Delivery Duties Paid (PDDP) is a service whereby duties are handled by Royal Mail and the overseas delivery partner so that the recipient does not incur any additional cost at the doorstep. Instead, VAT and duties are calculated and collected at the point of sale and paid to the relevant tax authorities locally via Royal Mail.
If I overcharge on postage I will refund the excess.

I'm Debby, I live in a small village on the East Coast of Yorkshire and work full time as a Bear & Textile Artist.
I love the intricate details found in Victorian and Heritage styles and this influence can be seen throughout my work, hand embroidery is my passion and I love to create one off pieces that will be treasured for many years to come.
Designing and creating heirloom bears has become a full time passion, when I started my bear making journey in 2014 I could never have imagined the vast number of bears I would go on to create (June 2026 has brought bear number 746 to the table).

The little embroidered bears have become my Signature style, they were introduced when due to health issues I was struggling to make the larger furry bears full time and they brought the passion back into creating when I was losing enthusiasm. Fully hand sewn with lots of embroidery detail they are now my favourite bears to make especially the natural and pale colour combinations with the recent goldwork additions being my most enjoyable and personal favourites so far.
I really enjoy working with neutrals, pastel and subdued colourways with matching thread colours soft and calming rather than contrasts or bright bold colours.

I was extremely honoured to have my bears chosen for the largest teddy bear magazine in the world (January 2025) 'Teddy Bear Times & Friends', it was definitely one of the highlights since starting this journey. I was also approached by Hochanda TV in 2020 with a view to selling my bear making kits but after the initial excitement and plenty of thought I declined the offer but I still feel honoured to have been approached.

2026 has brought over 745 bears and dozens of dolls, not forgetting the hundreds of smaller hand embroidered gifts including pincushions, woodland animals and letterbox gifts but I've come full circle again and have once again returned to full time bear making. I will be including some dolls in the future, I love doll making and adding all the pretty details but it's time to move on with my main creations again so apart from a few embroidered hearts or an occasional pincushion I will be leaving the smaller gifts behind.

A few things you might not know about me, I love music, my bears are never born to peace and quiet, they start life rocking to the sounds of metal, goth and rock. We love live music, regularly attend concerts and enjoy Whitby Goth Festival twice a year. I'm mum to two grown up children and grandma to one little boy.
