Hi everybody I'm Alan and I have always liked working with wood because it's natural and recyclable. I started out firstly with wood turning as a hobby about 40 odd years ago. I also do watercolours of animals, mostly birds. I began pyrography 5 years ago and improved over time. So now I make various items with my own unique designs never using stencils or lasers. I always freehand draw the design then burn into the wood. Items I make are Bookmarks, Coasters, artwork on blocks of wood. I get inspired by the legends and myth's that keep the mystery and not knowing alive. I also have an interest in birds and how they behave. I have always looked out for handmade items because I know they have been made with care and attention to detail.
