Wet and needle felted marino wool 'paintings' of nature from close up and afar.

I have always had a love for both art and the outdoors; crafting, gardening and hiking in my spare time, although not all at once!
Although a graphic designer by profession (so used to working in a structured way) I fell in love with the craft of wet felting having seen the stunning landscapes created by Yorkshire artist Andrea Hunter and Moy Mackay. Thus inspired I completed a wet felting course and the rest, as they say, is history!
Using beautifully coloured merino wool I create intimate images of nature and wildlife. Needle felted elements add detail and further texture. Working with wool is a very tactile experience and the natural process of felting means the results always carry an element of surprise.
