I design and make pretty much what I want using textiles, fibres, or metals to produce ranges of decorative or wearable items.
I am very fortunate to live in a wonderful part of Wales.
I have a small flock of sheep who graze my fields and I attempt to grow a few vegetables. The bits between sheep and vegetables I am trying to turn into a low input riot of wild flowers, grasses and wildlife. I have two ginger and white cats who are not allowed in the studio but do like to snuggle with me at every opportunity. Inevitably stray cat hairs do attach themselves to my clothes!
Woolly Daydreams is the showcase for my textile and fibre activities. Occasionally I like to work with paper and card so that appears here too. My studio is a room in my house where everything is kept and most creation occurs. I can shut the door and leave it all out when I stop and wander off to do something else.

The other 'studio' I often find myself in, is a small outbuilding tacked on to the end of our barn. This is where I play with metal and other more resistive materials that might also need heat to work. I enjoy the process of working with the metal, and other media to produce earrings, pendants, bangles and anything else that I can think of.

My professional life has been in the world of fashion and textiles, working on the practical side of the industry from design through pattern making and the construction of bespoke garments and accessories. I have created clothing, accessories, soft furnishings and decorative textiles for as long as I can remember.
