About The Sage Apothecary

The Sage Apothecary

100% natural & nutrient-dense, herbalist-formulated skincare

WHO ARE YOU?

Well hello there! And so nice of you to ask, I'm Abi and I'm a clinical herbalist with a passion for feeding the skin using plant based phytonutrients along with a determination to reduce chemical toxicity on the body - all in the pursuit of skin health and wellness.

HOW IT STARTED

Originally, it was born out of frustration - which sounds a little odd but it’s true. Health, nutrition and wellness have always been topics close to my heart and I desperately wanted to find a natural skincare brand I could trust. I soon found out though that most other products fell short of the mark so I decided to take things into my own hands and create my own range.

Since day one it’s always been really important that my skincare formulations were based on the practices and principals of herbal medicine so somewhere along the journey I completed further study in Natural Skincare, a Diploma in Herbal Studies and a Bsc in Clinical Herbalism.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS

All of the natural skincare products are made from scratch using the practices and principals of herbal medicine. There are many thousands of herbs in the world and each one that we use in our formulations has been carefully selected for its medicinal properties – whether it’s an anti-aging ninja or an acne healer. If you look at each product’s ingredients you won’t find one toxic or unpronounceable chemical but you’ll find the names of flowers, herbs, barks and fruits because nature has everything you need, if you know where to look. Each product is jam-packed full of hand-crafted goodness. Every herbal infused oil takes over five hours to make and each moisturiser contains several oils – yep, that’s before adding the therapeutic-grade essential oils, herbal extracts and tinctures…So, you get the picture – it’s a whole lot of love but it’s definitely worth it.
