Hello, I'm Helen and I design and create a range of handcrafted gifts, here at The Dancing Bat Designs.

My main focus is creating individual pieces of jewellery using Polymer Clay and mixed media.

My jewellery is colourful, handmade and individual. Each item can take hours to create, from simply conditioning and baking the clay, to texturing, painting, layering, caning and a whole range of techniques to get the end product. All items are finished to a high standard, which may include filing, sanding, buffing, waxing or resin coating, depending on each individual piece.

I also design and make other items, including hand embroidery, stitch / progress markers / charms and other accessories, which will occasionally appear on this page too.

I am a bit of a night owl, and a lot of my pieces are created late at night, when the house is quiet and I should probably be in bed! I welcome suggestions / requests etc based in my style, and we can see how they end up when I get to work!
