I am Richard, and I love making personalised gifts using sustainable and reclaimed materials.

I am Richard, and like any Yorkshireman, rather than throwing anything away, I love to repurpose materials to make personalised gifts using sustainable and reclaimed materials.

After a successful but hectic career in public service, I retired to become a full-time carer. The thirst for learning I once had to help drive my career has now driven me to learn new woodworking skills. Needing materials during the pandemic, I turned to social media to source materials, lighting my passion for making gifts from reclaimed materials and the Crafty Yorkshireman was born.

By creating gifts for family and friends, I quickly gained an audience, making personalised wooden and laser-engraved gifts. Selling at local craft fairs and online markets. I set up my Folksy store to share my creations with those who share my passion for high-quality personalised gifts and want to support the craft makers.
