I really enjoy burning designs onto wood, whether it be a wooden chest, wooden plaque or piece of plywood. I started art at a very young age but only discovered pyrography ten years ago. I’ve been selling successfully on Etsy, over 12000 orders, but have come to realise that Etsy is no longer about artists. So I’ve recently opened my Folksy shop and am excited to present my skill and love of what I do.
I also live on a wooden trawler and am lucky to have my studio aboard. All my pyrography is by hand but I do have a laser machine for specific projects. I have a rescue dog who keeps me fit and healthy, a cockatiel and some frogs. Not to mention all the bird life that visit me on my boat.
