Welcome to my wildflower patch on Folksy. I’m Rachel and I create floral embroidery pieces, kits and designs.
My work is inspired by nature and observation – wildflowers are so familiar, but we don’t always have time to really notice them.
My designs bring nature up close so that the details stand out.
My work is also sourced from sustainably and ethically made materials.
I use vintage and remnant fabrics where possible, but the new materials are also sourced from companies with ethical manufacturing principles. The Scottish thistles, for example, are stitched on Harris Tweed (for added Scottishness).
I am also building a collection of flower packs that you can stitch yourself, for a sprinkling of meadow flowers over clothes, linens and accessories.
Watch out for new embroidery kits arriving soon. Follow me on Pinterest, Instagram or Threads, and sign up to my newsletter (copy the URL below, or click the blog link), to find out more about my work and new projects.
