Custom costumes and corsets.

I have been a dressmaker ever since I was very young. Members of my mother's side of the family were tailors (Turnbull and Asser) and dressmakers and my father's ancestors were upholsterers in the car industry (Rolls Royce) so I was taught sewing and crafting from an early age.

I have been making corsets and regular clothing for many years but more recently I have been focusing on dance costumes. I have been a dancer for over ten years and have found it very difficult to find quality, unique outfits for stage and performance so I began making them myself.

The pieces that I make for myself are inspired by the music that my routines are made to or the theme of the party. Inspiration can come from anywhere: pirates, fairy tales, nature, a song, a story, historical costume, a black and white movie.

Some of my favourite materials to work with are silk, satin, taffeta, denim, organza, rhinestones and crystals. I enjoy
using unusual materials like glass, metal or found objects.
