I’m Kirsteen, the hands and heart behind Stitch Studio. I’m so glad you’ve found your way into my nostalgic world of wool and whimsy.

In a world that moves increasingly fast, where objects are often mass-produced and quickly discarded, Stitch Studio is my quiet rebellion. I slowly, meticulously, craft adorable creatures that are packed with character and show the hours spent making them and the stories that inspired them.

My work is a love letter to the retro childhood nostalgia that shaped me - the love of animals, magic of hand-me-down toys and memories of storybooks and cartoons. My mission is to create beautiful, handmade characters to bring you joy. They aren’t just decor; they are modern heirlooms. A small piece of magic to be tucked onto a nursery shelf, nestled in a well-loved bookcase, or brought out year after year to live among the branches of a seasonal tree.

I work with 100% wool felt for its strength and sculptural possibilities and my process is slow and careful by design. My paper ‘patterns’ are merely a starting point; every hand-cut piece and stitch is an act of intention. I sculpt from the inside out, and as I place the final features, a unique personality - a little soul - begins to peek through.

In my home studio in Nottingham UK, I attempt to balance the "busy-ness" of family life with the "stillness" of my craft. Whether you’re a collector, a fellow maker, or just browsing, I’m so glad you’re here.
