Hi I’m Sue of Squiggly Sue Designs.

I’m a watercolour artist working out of my garden studio in the heart of Derbyshire. Most of my inspiration comes from awe inspiring spaces I have walked in and beautiful places that I am drawn to. I find something about the scene fascinating – the light or the colours or just that it’s aesthetically pleasing.

I use watercolours as I love the unpredictability of letting them do their own thing, allowing the colours to merge and bleed beautifully on the paper and just follow where they lead. Many of my designs are printed onto cards, cushions, tea towels, mugs and coasters.

I also enjoy ‘squiggling’ with pen & ink. I have completed many sketches or ‘Doggy Doodles’ as I have called then and welcome commissions as well as personalised paper cuts such as name frames and welly boot pictures which make ideal gifts.
