Hi, Silver redesigned is Sheffield based and I design and make jewellery from recycled sterling silver retro items like cigarette cases and napkin rings.

I set up as @gill.black.75 - Silver redesigned, Sheffield, after attending silver jewellery classes at @studiobugiegalore.
I have been selling now for 4 years at craft fairs and online.
After learning the basics I was soon drawn to damaged/scrap, retro, previously hallmarked silver items which could be reworked to produce unique items. I mainly make earrings and necklaces from cigarette cases and napkin rings. I love the hunt for the raw materials on line and at antique shops. I use new sterling silver earring hooks, studs and chains. My work does not carry new hallmarks, as items under 7.78 grams do not require hallmarking. Sometimes parts of old hallmarks, inscriptions and wear are visible in the pieces. This adds to their character. I never use silver plate.
