I make traditional silver gelatin prints from black and white film negatives in my own darkroom. I have twenty five years experience doing this, so you can be sure all my prints have been professionally handmade by the photographer.
Owing to the analogue nature of the printing process, prints of the same image will not be 100% identical. This is because printing in a darkroom involves using my hands or pieces of card to block or direct light onto the paper, so even though they will look the same, there will be tiny barely perceptible differences. This also means that each print is unique, no matter how many I produce. Therefore, the picture you see on this page is a scan of the actual print you will receive, and when it sells, I'll scan another one (if there is one) for the next customer.
Each print is on Ilford Multigrade V Resin paper and processed in Ilford chemicals, fixed and washed, and will last a lifetime if kept out of direct sunlight. I use resin paper because of its much shorter washing time, therefore using less water compared with fibre paper.
Colour prints are scans from colour negatives and printed by a professional print lab.
The prices are for print only, so you can mount and frame it to your preference.
If you are unsatisfied with your print for any reason, you can return it and receive a full refund.
All image rights are retained by the photographer.
Thank you, and I hope you enjoy my work.
