Heather Stephens Jewellery - Handmade silver and gold jewellery

Hello - I am Heather Stephens, a teacher and designer of custom made jewellery. I work in a small private studio in North London. I have been passionate about jewellery making ever since undergoing my Applied Arts Degree when I enjoyed the intricateness of my small creations. I specialised in the development of silver and gold jewellery for which I was awarded a 2.1 degree.

I then formed my own bespoke jewellery making business - Heather Stephens Jewellery. The natural world has inspired me - from barnacle clusters to groups of pebbles in a conglomerate rock to lichen and tree bark. I love working with metals to recreate this rustic beauty using silver and gold as my canvas.

No one piece of jewellery I make exactly replicates another - all are crafted by hand and so develop an individual appearance. Many are created by a collaboration of the customer`s own vision and ideas with my guidance. There is nothing quite as rewarding as making an engagement ring or wedding band and I am always honoured to be allowed to be part of something so personal and significant.

As well as making items myself, I also help people attending classes and workshops to create their own jewellery. I tailor these sessions to the customer thus providing opportunity for students at any level of creative development to progress. You will extend yours skills and enjoy being creative as well as going home with a piece of jewellery you have made with your own hands which could be in your family for generations to come.
