Handmade ojects in miniature

I have been creative all my life but recently found that my passion is for making miniatures. I started out my working life as a draughtsperson and gained a BTEC HNC in mechanical engineering. Later, I studied Foundation Art and Design and got a Distinction, I was due to go away to uni to study Model Design but I couldn't face leaving my home and my husband. Since then it dawned on me one day that most of the things I make, and enjoy creating, are little things.

I have built 2 room boxes so far based on nursery rhymes, my 'Ten in the bed' one was featured in the August 2018 issue of Dollshouse and Miniature Scene magazine. At the moment I have another room box on the go based on Humpty Dumpty and a miniature tree house half built. I am very lucky to have my own studio at home and a very understanding husband. I am hoping to do a stall in a dolls house and miniatures fair in June, so I'm busy making smaller miniatures.
