Thank you so much for visiting my shop and taking the time to read this bit!

I'm Sarah, I'm rapidly approaching 40, a mum-of-two absolute nutters (aka Briony & Henry), and currently taking a break from my "real" job to find a bit more balance in life.

For as long as I can remember crafting has always been part of who I am. One of my earliest craft memories is being taught how to use my mum's sewing machine while sitting at the table in the back room in Sheffield. Back then I used to make hideous pink scrunchies that I thought were amazingly fashionable ... it was the 90's ... when trips to the local fabric shop filled me with the same excitement it still does today. Since then I've dabbled in all sorts including quilling, cake making, silversmithing, bead work and even pottery but I always come back to sewing. I love it. Finishing the day with a tangible product I can touch, feel, and share with others beats staring at my computer screen every time.

My inspiration comes from all around me but I love to make useful things that people can treasure for years. Be it a special toy bag for a 1st birthday or a gorgeous little project bag to keep all your yarn or other craft paraphernalia neat and tidy. I hand select fabrics that I fall in love with, everything I buy is something I'd have in my own home. I tend to buy fabrics in limited runs, only purchasing enough to make one or two items so that I keep things fresh but also so you know you have something truly special and unique.
