Unique hand painted watercolours and prints inspired by woodcuts and oriental textiles

I live and work in Cumbria with an assortment of dogs and children + cat and bloke. I have a degree in Fine Art from years ago and a recent degree in Illustration with animation.

Most of my paintings and prints are inspired by my travels to India. I love textiles, embroidery and tapestry and I think this also influences all my work, I love playing with patterns and colour to make a painting look like a tapestry or woodcut, or feeding textile designs into the narrative of a painting.

Buying from me

All my work is imagined and created by myself. My paintings are watercolour on paper ( I sell some originals and also high quality prints). I also have for sale a selection on limited edition etchings.

I am inspired to create by lots of lovely things I see, from Indian hand-painted textiles and medieval tapestries to woodcuts and renaissance art. I am drawn to subjects of the magical and mythical nature and love pattern and colour.
