My textile images are created using a raised embroidery technique, inspired by traditional stumpwork. Sections are sewn, carefully padded from behind, then hand-embroidered - resulting in a textured, three-dimensional artwork
Born in Yorkshire, now living in Derbyshire, I have a degree in art & design and among other creative work, have been an illustrator for BBC Children’s magazines and a graphic designer/textile artist for Nottingham museums
