I enjoy nothing more than shutting myself away in my sewing shack and letting my immagination run wild

I have had a passion for sewing since childhood, Cutting up my bed clothes and getting in deep trouble with mum was a regular assurance when I was young. for my 21st birthday mum bought me a sewing machine of my own and I still use it to this day, although not high tech it sews like a dream and is now 36 years old.

Life was tough when I had my 3 children so I got very creative with any fabrics I could get my hands on, making my own curtains, clothes and doing alterations for people. I've always been very inquisitive and keen to learn how things are made and enjoy drafting my own patterns.

I went to Lichfeild college and studied soft furnishings and interior design for 3 years, then I studied corsetry and made corsets and gowns for 5 years. After a short break I started renovating Coach Built prams and enjoyed seeing the transformations. Ive made car covers, boat canopies, bags, underwear, bedding, clothes and much more. I just enjoy sewing and like to challenge myself to design and make new things. I get my inspiration from my surroundings and the trails and tribulations life throws at me. My mum was a huge inspiration and she always found me lots of favours to do for her.
