Respoke Designs is a small, family run business (husband and wife team - Mike and Sam) designing, hand-crafting and hand polishing each unique piece of jewellery to a beautifully high standard using only recycled materials including stainless steel bicycle spokes.
Mike started out as a career mechanic, completely changed direction to work as General Manager and Senior Vocational Trainer for young offenders and students finding it difficult to engage in main stream education. Sam was a carer in the local town. Together they decided to work in their own business.
Mike always loved design, working with his hands and having always had an interest in the fabrication of metal, he (together with his wife Sam), founded Respoke Designs.
They both have a passion for recycling/upcycling and keeping as small a carbon footprint as possible. The bicycle spokes are recycled and people from all over the country send them to Mike and Sam. All the presentation boxes are sourced locally in their town and are recyclable. Additionally, the rope used to make the Rope Carabiner bracelets is also from a manufacturer in their town of Malvern.
