The Story of ReCalm Holistic

My love for therapeutic self-care products began many years ago, when I took a course in Indian Head Massage, this was a life changing moment, that moment you find something you have been searching for all your life, and you find yourself naturally good at. I went on to take many more holistic therapy courses, training in Clinical Reflexology, Japanese Facials, Holistic Hot & Cold Stone Therapy & more. I set up my own therapy practice for women’s health & wellbeing. Through doing so, I realised how vital it is to look after yourself, and take time to find the little things that help you to relax, recharge, and take control again, to ensure you maintain good health & wellbeing.

I also realised as a therapist, how therapeutic using essential oils are, and how they can really help to enhance your wellbeing.

I began making my own candles for my clients’ treatments, alongside making my own treatment massage oils, as I wanted the candles & oils to be made with 100% natural ingredients, using pure essential oils only, with no fragrance, so they enhanced the treatments and are actually a ‘treatment in themselves’. My clients loved the ‘pulse point’s, on-the-go body oils, which started to become popular, as clients could experience aromatherapy, not only whilst having a treatment, but also when they needed it most during the day & night, as the on-the-go oils are so handy to carry everywhere with you! At this point I didn't sell candles, as I was so busy treating clients, I only made them for the treatments at ReCalm Holistic.

When Covid-19 happened, I, like everyone, had to stop practicing, and so I set about selling the products I had made online. I wanted those that couldn’t have a treatment in these times, to be able to create a spa-like feel in the comfort of their own homes, taking that moment for themselves, filling the air with a decadent aromatherapy candle, to alleviate tension and promote a restful mind, and applying aromatherapy oils to remind them of that relaxing treatment.

I created a range of candles, with matching body oils, that are both distinctive & unique, which are called: R E L A X, R E J U V E N A T E , R E C O V E R & R E C A L M. I wanted to keep it simple, something for everyone, and easy to remember!

All our products are made with 100% natural ingredients - using Soy Wax & Essential Oils, which are good for you & kind to our environment.
