About Pocketful of colours

Pocketful of colours

Art is my happy space

I have no formal training although had originally intended to have an art based career
I’ve been drawing for as long as I remember and am from a family of creatives..
In 2014 ,I took early retirement, which gave me time to continue sewing ,and creating clothing and accessories for babies and children, which I sold via Etsy to friends and family ,and at craft fairs.
Then lockdown arrived ,and with two lifelong health conditions I had to isolate for 12 weeks. It was at this time I returned to art ,which was always my first passion .I was inspired initially by Graysons art club ,and then took out an art box subscription, and now draw or paint on a daily basis following the art box daily challenges .
My work is often floral and nature themed . I love flowers and they are in my home every single day ,I also love nature and the countryside.
Early in 2023 I suffered a major trauma which has a long road to recovery. I now have even more time for art and am experimenting much more with my own ideas.
