Started after Effie had spent five weeks in an induced coma after a cardiac arrest and hospitalisation with complications from pre-existing conditions. Phoenix spent every day at their bedside, playing music, reading Oscar Wilde out loud until Effie awoke. A long recuperation is still underway, but something needed to be done to keep Effie's hands and brain occupied - thus Phoenix and the Dragon was born.

First thing to be produced was a little dumpling duffle bag which didn't look too bad and Phoenix said "You could sell that". More bags followed, then little trays and useful pots to put things in. Then Effie remembered the little stitchmarkers they used to make and their love of making blankets and baby clothes. Phoenix put their scouting skills with paracord to use, and nothing is stopping them both now!
