Pencil drawings of classic countryside characters

​Classic characters from the British countryside captured in striking pencil sketches by Penny West. These high quality giclée prints retain the detail and vibrancy of the original pictures, while being long lasting.

​Penny grew up in Somerset and has always had a great love for the countryside and its inhabitants, and an interest in wildlife conservation. To this day she is drawn to woodland, hedgerows, streams and the countryside's hidden places which she explores on walks with her family dog Pippi. Since childhood she has been inspired by favourite books Brambley Hedge, Winnie the Pooh and the Animals of Farthing Wood. 

​Penny began this collection of animals after winning a competition with a portrait of her seven year old rescue cat Wellington. Though the original hangs above his bed, he remains resolutely unimpressed by it
