About Patchwork Allee

Patchwork Allee

I create cosy patchwork quilts, cushions and bags.

I have been sewing and knitting all my life. When I was little my grandparents taught me to sew and I started by making families of soft toys and knitting for my baby cousins. I then tried patchwork and fell in love with it. I love how you can make something fantastic from a few small pieces of fabric which might otherwise have been thrown away. I spend hours trying different combinations of colours, some work together, others don't! A lot of my designs are based on traditional patchwork squares but by using modern fabrics I feel I am making something totally new and beautiful.
I am learning all the time and trying new things and new techniques, its all very exciting.
When I am not working or sewing I can be found in the garden trying to grow flowers and vegetables, or out walking on Wimbledon Common with my two Italian Spinones, Amber and Ruby.
