Hi, I'm Angela and I'm the founder of Orchard Jewellery. I began making jewellery as a pastime, to balance out my hectic once-corporate and busy-parenting life. I've always had a creative side and enjoyed sharing skills and expertise with others, and so after getting so far with wirework and the basics of silversmithing, I decided to take a leap of faith and re-train as professional jeweller; from that training, Orchard Jewellery was born.
I've been fortunate enough to learn from some wonderful silversmiths and jewellers around the UK, cementing this with undertaking a professional diploma in silver jewellery, as well as continuing my formal training with recognised professional bodies such as the Goldsmiths Centre and the British Academy of Jewellery. I also have a postgraduate teaching qualification, and run on-site workshops in which I embrace all learning styles.
Living sustainably is important to me and a big part of my work ethic. I use sustainable, ethically sourced materials in all my pieces, and my packaging is Forestry Standards Commission approved. As part of my ongoing commitment to sustainability, a percentage of Orchard Jewellery's profits will be donated annually to UK sustainability initiatives.
You can be assured that your piece will arrive in beautiful condition, and for items which require hallmarking, I am assay office registered. My registered makers mark will additionally be applied to all items. For your peace of mind, my work is confidently covered by a 6 month guarantee for manufacturing defects, as a testament to my high standards.
