Having trained in art, and attended life classes at the Slade School of Art in London, whilst at university, my dream was to make my living as an artist. However, life intervened! Now, as a mother of four, and a teacher, I need down time. Once I've walked Lola, our lollopy, hairy, bouncy poodle-border cross, and made sure everyone else is happy, my perfect 'me-time' is to settle down at home with my brushes, paints and fine line pens, listening to a podcast or Radio 4. I draw and paint the things around me, or things I'd like around me! I'm inspired by nature, by beautiful things I see in museums, even by costume dramas on TV. I also love to work to a brief, bringing the ideas of others to life, drawing or painting their pets, their children, their homes, or a favourite object, preserving it forever on the page.
