I create paintings that I hope give the same joy I received creating, as they do viewing

I am an artist based in North Yorkshire. My Passion is the sea and the ragged, wild moors. When I paint, I find it has a meditative feel for me which I try to share with the viewer.

Recently I have played around with gathering the tiniest set of materials to take on my meanderings. This has led to me creating, detailed smaller pictures outside rather than in my studio. The capture of feel and place for me is much more real, and evocative than a photograph, as my photo's all seem flat and the colours fade, (I don't really have photography talents).

I am a member of the Pastel Guild of Europe, The International Association of Pastel Societies, and Craven arts Collective.

I post parcels using repurposed/ recycled packaging, where I can. Posting pictures is quite resource intensive, so don't be surprised, if your package has a different company name, or a different painting name. Your painting inside, will have the name, date and signature on the back, unique to your picture.
