Hi, I’m Sarah. I run Made in Matlock from my home in Derbyshire.

I’ve always made things. I trained in Hospitality and Catering, then spent over twenty years as a Design and Technology teacher, teaching food, textiles, woodwork, metalwork and graphics. If there’s a craft out there, I’ve probably tried it.

Now I’m an Independent Celebrant and creative maker. I support people through big life moments, and I create keepsakes, personalised gifts, seasonal pieces and thoughtful items designed to hold memories or add a little magic to every day.

My work includes laser cutting, I work with wood, slate and fabric, amongst other materials, making them in small batches or to order. I like quality materials, interesting design and things that feel special rather than mass-produced.

I also run relaxed, inclusive craft sessions for adults and teenagers; calm, welcoming spaces to learn and make.

I sell both online and at fairs. If you see me at an event, do come and say hello. I love a chat.
