Hi, I’m Paula and I founded Lytton Rose Botanical. I am a Charnwood based designer and crafts-woman and have been creating and designing at a professional level for the last 16 years. Originally trained in fashion design I have a keen sense of trend, design, colour and structure and I have a passion for flowers in every form from seed, to their finished form and back to seed.
Sustainability is at the heart of what I do at Lytton Rose. So I source many of my flowers from UK based suppliers and also dry as many of my own flowers as I can, using the traditional air-drying method, which means no extra energy or chemicals are needed! I also used foraged materials gathered in accordance with the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland’s guidelines. I never use pesticides or herbicides in my flower garden nor do I use plastics or floral foam (a microplastic) in my work. I limit the use of dyed or bleached materials, to small amounts within my products if I use them at all! My packaging is a work in progress but I strive to make this as eco friendly as I possibly can, so the only plastic used is tape and I often use recycled paper void fill to protect my items or recycled/recycleable tissue paper.
I live with my husband and daughter and can often be found exploring the Charnwood countryside for inspiration or growing my own flowers in my garden.
