Hi, my name is Louise and my art career started over forty years ago when I went to Art College and trained to work in Theatrical Design. Next followed over a decade of working in the Theatre Industry as a Set Designer, Scenic Artist and Prop Maker. I then moved on to running an Entertainment Company specialising in Face Painting and Body Painting, also providing Craft workshops and other entertainers. After over twenty years of running Faceworks, I really wanted to get back to working in pure art. I have now been working as a Fine Artist for over six years, bringing all the skills and experience from my previous art careers into my work, as well as creating from classical fine art techniques. I also have many years experience teaching fine art to adults. My twin passions are both creating and teaching art!
Fun facts - I’m married with two adult children and three cats. My body painting work has appeared on television and my face painting in Hello magazine! I have done every boring office job you can imagine in between theatre jobs, but also accidentally became a Kylie Minogue lookalike in the early 1990’s, appearing in magazines, and on TV in Gamesmaster and Noel Edmunds House Party.
