Hello, I'm Lisa.
My work has grown slowly over time through paying attention.
I was originally trained as a physiotherapist, where I developed a deep respect for the body, for patience and for small, meaningful change. Over time, this way of seeing moved into my creative practice.
Today I create paintings, textiles and thoughtful making projects inspired by quiet observation and the natural world. My work is less about perfect results and more about noticing what emerges through the process of making.
My textile handbooks invite you to work slowly with simple materials, allowing your own pathways of stitches to develop over time. Rather than offering something to copy, they encourage a personal, reflective creative practice.
Earlier in my journey I created a series of independently designed card decks exploring nature, symbolism and reflection. They remain an important part of my creative path, while my practice has gradually expanded to include painting, slow stitching and writing.
Thank you for visiting my shop. I hope you find something here that encourages you to slow down, make with care and discover your own quiet way of paying attention.
