Vibrant Lino Prints of Unusual Animals

Hi! I'm Laura, the artist behind Laura Crosby Designs. I live in Nottingham with my husband John and our cat Lily.

I have always loved crafting and when I first started doing Lino cutting I fell in love! I enjoy the tactile nature of the carving and think that each finished block is beautiful. If you make a mistake, you can’t add lino back in so I really enjoy how the design evolves as you go, to incorporate the parts that didn’t do exactly what you wanted first time. I hand pull the prints at home on our dining table, which means that each design is lovingly printed from the original hand carved lino block and created by me. This leads to small differences that make each print a little bit unique.

I decided to mainly work on animal subjects as I'm well known by my friends and family for my over-enthusiasm for animals. My favourite things to do as a child were to spend time at the local stables or visit a local farm park, but my love of animals doesn’t stop there.

I love the variety of creatures out there and wanted to showcase some animals that really do deserve some more airtime! If you have an animal you love that you want to suggest features in my next cut then please do get in touch.

IMPORTANT: I have certain prints listed at any one time and you will receive the exact print pictured on the listing. Please do check it carefully to confirm you are happy with the finish. If you aren’t but like the design and colour please do get in touch as I can show you other prints of the design to see whether they are more to your liking. Likewise if you saw a print that has now sold don’t worry! Again, just get in touch and I can sort it out for you or you can wait a day or two and it should be re-listed.
