Hello I'm, Penny a mixed media artist
Living on the edge of the Lake District National Park in the North West of England, my work is all about the fabulous landscape and the ever-changing views here on the Cumbrian coast .
My love of the landscape began while studying Design. Then while working as a designer a chance meeting with an embroidery artist catapulted me into the magical world of textile and stitch and I haven't looked back since. Now, along with mixed media I include textile techniques to create art inspired by the landscape I love.
I am also an experienced teacher and offer vibrant workshops where I share my love of the landscape and the magic that is textile and stitch .
I hope you like my work , and if you would like to know more about my workshops and my work as an artist https://linktr.ee/PennyHillierEvans
with love Penny x

I commissioned Penny to make me some new drawer knobs so that I could refresh a little old painted chest of drawers. She hand painted them to tone with the paint on the drawers and decoupaged them with the prettiest papers, which really remind my of Liberty fabric prints, which I use a lot on my work and store in these drawers!
Penny was really easy to work with, super helpful and knowledgeable. The whole interaction was exactly what buying handmade should be! Thank you Penny.

Really pleased that I bought this beautiful piece of art for our 'wool' anniversary. It's gorgeous in real life, and it will remind us of our many trips across the Lake District fells. Thank you so much Penny.
