I was taught to knit when I was five years old by my mum - she has now been knitting for over seventy years. I had asked my grandmother to teach me to crochet by she passed away before she had a chance - so a good friend of my mums taught me - and told me I was not going to learn using yarn but number 20 crochet cotton. I enjoy knitting and crochet and mum enjoys knitting and sewing and is always coming up with new ideas.
We both enjoy going out and purchasing the beautiful fabrics and yarns that we use - trying support our local independent shops whilst doing so..
My favourite crafting place is to be curled up on the sofa with a nice cup of tea and the TV on to catch up on the programmes I have missed / not had time to watch yet. Yarn is my passion and I have a whole room in my house with boxes, cupboards and drawers full of a variety of colours, textures and thicknesses - all ready for my next project.
