Handmade individual ceramics which are sculptural and functional with impressed astract decoration.

My love affair with clay started way back in high school. It's such a versatile material and I still love working with it to create my work today. I use black clay and overlay the surface with slips to create a focal panel. The decorated panels are then impressed with mechanical forms to create designs that are developed from photographs of the Californian land and seascape.
I work from my studio at home with the radio on and often with my old cat, Dave, for company.
