I hate doing anything twice, so every piece is a unique creation.

Hi there, I have been stitching since I was about 8. My Aunty bought me a little kit, and I was hooked. For many years it was just a hobby, then, after being ill, I left my career as a primary school teacher and went to do the Certificated Course at the Royal School of Needlework. I am proud to say I passed with Merit.
I now have run two businesses, one, as a Viking, delivering historical workshops in schools. (Still love working with kids, and no pressures this way). The other is my textile art. Embroidery, feltmaking, and Iron Age textiles. Drop spinning, weaving, and dyes.
I love nature, and spend a lot of time walking with my dogs, The Artistic Directors.
My Dad photographs butterflies, I then embroider them, I am only allowed to do real ones. Most of my inspiration comes from nature, and I am a thread junkie, so colour and texture. Irresistible.
I have a Welsh base to, this is where I do most of my embroidery and felt workshops. Again, getting out walking and watching the seasons change, lots of inspiration.
A lot of the fleece I felt with comes from local flocks.
One day I will have a Craft Barn up there. That is the dream.
