I am an artist who loves to paint all things colourful and beautiful!

I am trained as an Occupational Therapist and worked for the NHS for many years. In 2010 I started to paint and draw again after a long time doing nothing creative but doodling! Once I started I couldn't stop and I have developed my style ever since. In 2015, I gave up my job to be a full time artist and I love it so much! I have enjoyed the trial and error elements of developing my art and now feel really proud of the end products. I use a combination of gouache and Golden acrylics paints that have the most rich beautiful colour range..I wouldn't use anything else! I often paint on canvas, but I discovered that reclaimed Cornish roof slate makes a wonderful canvas.
i now am lucky enough to have a studio from which I often work, although I do love to work from home too. I live with my husband and two sons as well as our very much loved Sprollie called Maggie, in the beautiful countryside of South Devon, where I find inspiration for my art every time i step out of our front door!
My artwork is designed to uplift whoever is looking at it. This is both with the image and with the words that I often use. I am very choosy with the words that I do put on my artwork. I never use anything that is too cheesy. Some pieces don't need words at all.
