My name is Julia and I have been handmaking and selling hair scrunchies for around five years. It all grew from my love of sewing - my mother was a dressmaker - and from finding joy in giving smaller pieces of fabric a new life.
I live on a narrowboat in Bath and from my window I am lucky enough to see wonderful birdlife every day - kingfishers, jay's, swans and grebes to name a few. It's a very calming place to work even if it is sometimes a little small. You quickly learn to live with less and to appreciate the simple things.
