JOBISKA is born from Edward Lear’s poem ‘The pobble who has no toes’, and Aunt Jobiska of course was the thoughtful lady who furnished him with ‘ lavender water, tinged with pink’. Lear’s wonderful way with prose enchanted me as a child and continues to do so even today…only now I am old and am happy to wear purple ( with a red hat) and I spend my days surrounded by colour, fabrics, paint and messy aprons, doing what I love and creating things I get pleasure from ..and I hope you will too.
Colour is life’s joy, whether it be the richness of creamy pastels, the vibrancy of acrylic paint or the texture and patterns of fabric. Each project is unplanned and wonderfully unique..which adds to the fun of art.
