Here are some things just listed by other crafters and sellers on Folksy.
Hi I'm Jen and I'm a scientist by day, crafter by night and beekeeper in between! I made my first noticeboard in 2015 and have since made over 3,000 in more than 130 different fabrics. I think noticeboards are great and have four up at home (I've got my eye on another two designs if six isn't excessive!) - I love making them and love it even more when someone buys something I've made to display and use in their home.
Noticeboards offer ideal storage solutions and can serve a purpose in any room of the house: in your kitchen for recipes, receipts and postcards; in your hallway for tickets and reminders; in your children's bedrooms for photos, timetables and drawings; or in the study for ideas and inspirations! They also make excellent table plan holders or photo display boards for weddings and can be kept as a lasting momento forever after, or given away as wedding favours. Pretty yet practical gifts for any occasion!
My noticeboards have a hardwood base so I tuck everything under the ribbon on mine rather than pinning into the board. This avoids the risk of errant pins around paws and little feet, avoids damage to the fabric and makes my noticeboards more robust than those with a soft wood or cork base. (It is possible to pin across the fabric/wadding and ribbons with haberdashery pins if you choose to.)
Dimensions: 40cm x 20cm, 40cm x 30cm, 40cm x 40cm, 40cm x 60cm, 60cm x 60cm & 100cm x 60cm.
The reverse is neatly covered in white fabric with 2 D-rings secured for hanging. To reduce plastic waste I have opted for non-plastic alternatives for packaging, which are recyclable and biodegradable.
