I graduated from the Glasgow College of Building and Printing in 1993 with an HND in Design for Print. I went on to work in this field as a graphic designer for over 20 years, juggling a full time career, husband, 2 children, a cat and more recently, 2 horses.
Although I love my chosen career, I have always had a real passion for jewellery and silversmithing and finally, in 2008 I took the plunge and started working on my own designs, reducing my hours as a graphic designer. I went on to study Jewellery Design and Silversmithing at the City of Glasgow College as a part-time student, and set up my own studio at home in Lanarkshire, learning along the way.
My aim has always been to create contemporary, elegant jewellery which is also suitable for everyday wear, made from ethically sourced materials.
Today, eight years on, I still get a thrill every time a customer buys a piece of mine, either through a shop or gallery, or through my ever-increasing customer base.
