I am now retired after a long career as an assistant to my husband in our manufacturing business. We have both had a love of steam engines for many years, hubby was a trainspotter and still is. In 1975 we went to Barry scrapyard and saw row on row of abandoned steam engines awaiting their fate. Luckily many of these engines have now been beautifully restored and give so much pleasure to many people who visit steam railways all over the UK. We have been on numerous steam railway trips some even with wonderful dining experiences and were unable to find a memento of our journeys. This is my inspiration to make a souvenir of brief encounters with steam engines and memorable journeys. The nameplates of these engines promote a deep passion for our preserved British heritage
We live in rural Shropshire, a beautiful part of Britain, where in our workshop we have developed a unique memento of these iconic locomotives in the form of scaled replica steam engine nameplates, we will also be adding diesel loco names in the future.
We now apply this passion to our other interest which is FOOTBALL, being keen Leicester city supporters. as that was the area we "Grew up" in.
